Little Winston is back.
He sits on a feeder hanging fromthe crepe myrtle in my front yard.
He is a hummingbird, and that is fortunate.
For if he were a squirrel, his life would be in grave danger.
The first order of business, therefore, is procuring a suit-able feeder.
Doing so is easy.
Youll notice most are red because that color attracts hummers.
Types Of Hummingbird Feeders
There are two basic types.
They rely on sugar from feeders and nectar from flowers as well as protein from bugs.
You could buy sugar water from a store, but why bother?
This scene looks very much like humans battling for toilet paper and milk before a hurricane.
Set up two or three stations for even more mass mayhem.
Just be sure theres a resting place like a tree nearby where combatants can catch their breath between rounds.
Of course, this will not protect them from another nemesis called the praying mantis.
If you value your soul, DO NOT WATCH THESE!
No need to limit yourself to red ones.
These creatures can detect other hues as well, such as blue, violet, yellow, and orange.
