More bread for less dough and no trip to Pigeon Forge required.
I was in my local TJs last week when something familiar caught my eye.
The ingredients, the size, the sections, the thickness, and the glaze all looked the same.

Upon its arrival, I was reminded that this loaf though delicious it may be does not ship well.
In my experience, it fairs decently if you double-wrap it and fly with it.
But snail mail isnt reliable transport for this special treat.

And the TJs loaf will not fit into the aluminum loaf pan that comes with an order from Dollywood.
So if youre sharing, the Dollywood bread is a lot easier to tear off evenly on the go.
Like any cinnamon roll or monkey bread, once it cools it gets dry.
However, Dollywoods bread comes in new boxes that include instructions on how to reheat your treat home.
I followed those same directions for the Trader Joes bread and it helped immensely.
TJs is seriously lacking in the filling department.
When you tear into a middle piece of their loaf, theres nary a slather of cinnamon sugar.
Its bald compared to Dollywoods.
In my opinion, thats how gooey a cinnamon roll or cinnamon bread should be.
It punches perfectly while still remaining sweet, edging out Dollywood.
On taste alone, TJs might win.
Of course, it will never be the same without the condiments.
The Crucial Missing Ingredient
Bread at Dollywood is served with a choice of icing or apple butter.
You just cant replicate that at TJs because theres no stand-in for a true apple butter.
However, if you might still find it at your local store, the seasonal pumpkin butter is divine.
And that pairing could give Dollywood a run for their money.
