This durable casserole dish never suffered any damage, even when placed in the broiler or freezer.
The stoneware will not absorb moisture and retains heat exceptionally well, so food stays warm for longer.

Plus, the large handles make it easy to transport from the oven to the table.
Overall, this is a show-stopping casserole dish thats just as functional as it is beautiful.
Just note that while the porcelain-enamel finish is scratch-resistant, it may still wear out with prolonged use.

And since this casserole dish is ceramic, we recommend using caution when transporting it to the table.
Besides cooking casseroles, we also used this dish to make cake andstuffed peppers.
Each of the recipes turned out great, and all of the ingredients were thoroughly cooked.

When making the stuffed peppers, we did wish that the sides of the dish were higher.
However, this drawback didnt make a significant impact on the recipe.
The OXO dish was also easy to clean.

One of our favorite features of this casserole dish is the included lid.
Plus, it wont stain or absorb odors.
It is much deeper than your average casserole pan and has high sides to prevent spills.

The high sides provide you with more than enough room to roast meats and vegetables.
Thanks to its stainless steel design, this pan can be used on stovetops, too.

The ridges on top make the dish even more secure by helping to keep the lid in place.
Its also easy to clean.
Just be sure to bring the dish to room temperature before reheating to avoid thermal shock.

Choose from over a dozen different vibrant color options to match your kitchens palette.
The glazed stoneware gives this dish an elegant look that your guests will appreciate.
Without oven mitts, the wide handles are easier to grab.

When we had oven mitts on, we found it much more difficult to hold the casserole dish.
The tall handle made it difficult to store in our refrigerator.
If you have any leftovers, just put the lid back on top and place it in your refrigerator.

Even though this casserole dish is dishwasher safe, the manufacturer recommends hand washing to preserve the original design.
We also think that the raised Staub branding helps to reduce the likelihood of someone accidentally dropping the dish.
Besides the main dish, the two additional sizes are the perfect size forsmaller dessertsandside dishes.

Our Testing Process
We tested each casserole dish from our list for six months.
Each dish was evaluated based on design, performance, ease of cleaning, and value.
We cooked different recipes with each dish to see if it provided even heat distribution and thoroughly cooked food.

For ease of cleaning, we either hand-washed or placed the casserole dish in the dishwasher.
Once it was done, we checked for any food stains or other residue.
We also checked the dish to see if it had sustained damage during the cleaning process.

Glass, on the other hand, tends to be limited to about 450F.
However, glass allows you to monitor the layers of your dish without cutting into it.
Metals like aluminum are generally more lightweight, and you dont have to worry about cracking or chipping.

However, stoneware, glass, and cast iron tend to distribute heat more evenly than metal.
To protect your metal casserole dishes, we recommend not storing food in them for a long time.
Rather, remove the leftovers and put them in plastic or glass containers.

Sometimes, I use baking soda for tough stains or burns on food.
I avoid using abrasive materials as these can scratch and damage the surface.
