Is The 1980s Perm Ever Coming Back?

Luckily, no, its not looking likely.
It was often performed to achieve the curly short bob that was trending during that decade.

The resulting look was a volume-packed, fluffy head of tiny spiral curls that could be dramatically teased.
None of these resemble the dreaded 1980s perm, so it appears we are safe from its chemically-fluffed clutches.
For now, at least.
