What is the Difference Between a Mojito and Daiquiri?

Both are classic cocktails made with rum, but they arent the same drink.

Adaiquiricombines rum with lemon and/or lime juice, sugar, and crushed ice.

Add rum, lime juice, and enough ice to fill shaker, and shake vigorously 15 seconds.

Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.

Top with club soda.

Garnish with mint, a lime wheel, and a strawberry half.

Reduce heat to low; simmer until mixture is slightly reduced, about 20 minutes.

Skim off any foam from surface.

Pour strawberry mixture through a fine mesh strainer; discard solids.

Stir in 2 1/2 cupsgranulated sugaruntil dissolved, about 2 minutes.

Let cool to room temperature, about 1 hour.

Store in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
