This summery agua fresca showcases the classic combination of strawberries and mint.

What Is Agua Fresca?
Aguas frescas are popular in Mexico and Latin American countries.
Canned varieties are also available widely.

It’s also easily customized to fit what’s in your fridge or fruit basket.
Consider blackberries, raspberries, or kiwi.
The drink will stay fresh for up to 3 days.

Stir with a long wooden spoon before pouring another glass.
Toss to combine and let sit at room temperature, tossing occasionally, for an hour.
Strain the berry mixture:
Set a fine mesh strainer over a large pitcher.

Pour the strawberry mixture into the strainer and stir to help the liquid fall into the pitcher.
Add water:
Add four cups of water to the pitcher.
Taste for sweetness and add more sugar if desired.

Chill, and serve:
Chill until cold, about 2 hours, and serve over ice.
