Ingredients
1Tbsp.olive oil
8oz.spicy Italian sausage
1small(6 oz.
)yellow onion, chopped (1 cup)
3largegarlic cloves, finely chopped (1 Tbsp.)
1tsp.driedItalian seasoning

)jar pasta sauce(such as Raos Homemade Tomato Basil)
1cupbeef broth
9(1 oz.
Add sausage; cook, using spoon to break up into crumbles, until browned, about 5 minutes.
Add onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add garlic and Italian seasoning; cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add pasta sauce and broth; boil until tender:
Add pasta sauce to skillet.
Pour broth to empty jar; close and shake to remove all pasta sauce.

Pour broth-sauce mixture into skillet.
Stir in broken lasagna noodles, 1/2 teaspoon of the salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of the pepper.
Cover and bring to a boil, undisturbed, over medium-high.

Prepare oven:
Meanwhile, preheat oven to broil with oven rack 6-inches away from heat source.
Add cheeses and broil:
Uncover skillet, dollop ricotta mixture over top.
Sprinkle evenly with mozzarella.

Broil in preheated oven until cheese is melted and slightly browned, 3 to 5 minutes.
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
