Unfortunately, wine can go bad.

If unopened wine is stored properly, it can last for years and years.

However, opened wine generally only lasts a few days.

Wine that has gone bad may have a medicinal or vinegar-like smell and may taste sharp or sour.

How Should Wine Be Stored After Opening?

Additionally, wine should be stored at a constant temperature.

Malik recommends keeping wine in a cooler part of the house away from the sunlight and preferably in darkness.

“I keep my wines in a wine fridge at about 55 degrees Fahrenheit,” she says.
