Here are the rare occasions when our readers say its okay not to send a thank-you note.
When Is It Okay to Skip the Note?
I was in treatment for cancer.

I received gifts of food and other lovely gestures of kindness.
I started to write thank-you notes, but I didnt have the energy.
I truly was very grateful.
Same goes for friends who are grieving or recovering.
Large gifts require the same.
Other than these, a nice thank-you email or text should suffice.
But ALL gifts should be acknowledged.
So what do you think?
Is there ever an occasion where its acceptable to skip the note?
