The original restaurant was built in 1947.

Less than two weeks earlier, Hurricane Helene dealt a hefty blow to many of these same communities.

For one Anna Maria Island landmark, the one-two punch of these storms was too much.

The entrance was boarded up, but the double-decker restaurant and bar remained.

Hurricane Milton, however, destroyed it entirely.

For more than 75 years, the restaurant has welcomed locals and visitors alike to its unique dock location.

The second-story restaurant served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with seafood featuring heavily on all menus.

The downstairs bar poured up cold beer and wine.

This isn’t the first time the restaurant has suffered such devastation.

In 2013, a fire in the restaurant caused significant damage.

The City Hall was spared from damage.
