The new, original feature film stars Ginna Claire Mason, Holly Robinson Peete, and John Clarence Stewart.

For Mason, starring in a movie centered around theDerbyseemed like a perfect match for her.

But she does have a unique, lifelong connection to the prestigious event.

So it was integral to my birthday parties as a child.

I had friends over and we would always watch the Derby!

I am very hopeful to attend some time in the near future.

The song is called ‘Run Your Race.’

Its something that I pitched to the director and she got so excited about it.

The interactions with horses was an added bonus for Mason who was raised around the beautiful animals.

Have you ever seenWild Hearts Cant Be Broken?

That was my favorite movie since I was 8 years old and it is my favorite movie now…

It’s based on a true story.

That movie had a big impact on me.

She continued, Ive just always loved horses.

I grew up riding horses and I love horse movies.

It was such a dream come true and we got to film at multiple equestrian farms.

Just to get to be around these animals, they are so awe inspiring.

They are so powerful and so beautiful and gentle and strong.

And, this being aDerby-themedmovie, there are plenty of fabuloushats.

I love being under her direction.

And her patience and her sense of humor and her vision for the story was really special.

I felt like she really brought me into it and let me be a part of the process.
