Start with these:

2/3cupboilingwater

1cupice coldwater

2cupsfrozen whipped topping(from 1 [8-oz.]

container), thawed, plus more for garnish

pkg.lemon-flavored gelatin(such as Jell-O)

1/2cup(about 2 1/8 oz.

)all-purpose flour

1/4cupunsalted butter, melted

1(9-oz.

Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper, and set aside.

Whisk in cold water.

Refrigerate, uncovered, until partially set and slightly thickened, about 30 minutes.

Bake crumbs:

Spread crumb mixture in an even single layer on prepared baking sheet.

Bake in preheated oven until crumbs are set and edges are slightly golden brown, about 8 minutes.

Remove from oven, and let cool completely on baking sheet, about 15 minutes.

Make crumbles:

Break any cooled larger crumbs into smaller pieces.

Assemble pie:

Stir strawberry filling until smooth; pour over crumbs in crust.

Refrigerate, uncovered, until set, at least 4 hours or up to 12 hours.

Garnish with additional whipped topping, remaining crumbs, and strawberry slices.

Lightly cover with plastic wrap, and store in refrigerator up to 2 days.

You wont get a great result by freezing Jell-O pie.

The freezer affects the gelatin, which will change texture when thawed.

Jell-O pie lasts up to two days when covered and stored in the refrigerator.

you’re able to use sugar-free Jell-O as a substitute for regular Jell-O in this recipe.

And you might even use pudding mix and milk to make a pudding pie if you prefer.
