The hurricane is a fruity, rum-filled drink that also includes citrus and passion fruit juices.

The drink originally became popular at Pat O’Brien’s bar in New Orleans in the 1940s.

O’Brien debuted his new libation at the 1939 World’s Fair in New York City.

What Is A Hurricane Glass?

Shake vigorously until shaker is icy on the outside, about 30 seconds.

Strain:

Strain mixture into a hurricane glass filled with fresh ice.

Garnish:
