How Eggshells Benefit the Garden

Eggs contain several nutrients that can enrich the soil.

Plants need calcium to build cell walls and grow strong new root tips, shoots, and leaves.

That said, do your research on whether or not your plants prefer acidic or alkaline soil.

It’s a good idea to have your soil tested to see how much calcium is already available.

(see to it to cool the water to room temperature first.)

it’s possible for you to pour the milky-looking water directly onto the plant soil for a nutrient boost.

We recommend using about 2 cups of the liquid per plant.

Do this once a week for maximum results.

Eggshell water can also be stored in a sealed container for later use.

How Effective Is Eggshell Water?

You may be asking just how much calcium carbonate your plants will be able to receive this way.

According to Jeff Gillman, author ofThe Truth About Garden Remedies, they will absorb some.

The results showed the eggshell-infused water contained 4 milligrams of calcium and potassium.
