Give It A Knock
Knock, knock, knockin on…your cantaloupes rind.
A swift knock on a ripe cantaloupe will return a low, deep sound.
If your knock returns a hollow reply, put the cantaloupe back.
Smell The Stem
Press and smell the stem-end of your cantaloupe.
The scent should smell sweet and slightly musky.
