Take your pot or pan outside, if possible, until its cool enough to properly discard.
Youll want to first turn off your oven and allow it to cool slightly.
Completely cover the spill with salt and let it sit until the oven and the spill has cooled completely.
Open windows and doors to help circulate.
Ceiling fans can also help push the burnt smell out once the bad air has a place to escape.
While it might take some time, use your usual method for cleaning so that avoid damaging your cookware.
Remove from the heat and add two tablespoons of baking soda to the pan.
Pour out the cleaning solution and scrub the pan until the mess has been eliminated.
