Before You Begin
Learning what jot down of deck you have is critical to cleaning it properly.
Most decks are built with softer wood sources (pine, cherry, cedar, etc.)
It is essential to know whether your deck has been recently sealed before you attempt to scrub it.
If you’ve had your deck sealed within the last week, wait.
You want the sealant to be bone dry before you ever attempt to clean it.
Another thing to consider is surrounding plant life.
Step 2:Wet the surface.
Step 3:Mix vinegar and water in equal parts.
Pouring your mixture into your pump sprayer or spray bottle, coat the entire deck well.
Step 7:Wait several hours for your deck to dry before replacing your furniture.
Start this process in the morning and allow the hot afternoon sun to dry your wood through.
Waiting overnight will mean morning dew will delay the process even further.
If you’re not sure, ask someone to help point you in the right direction.
Repeat Steps 1-7 as listed above, replacing the water and vinegar mixture with your chemical cleaner.
