How Much Does A Cup Of Flour Weigh?
According to King Arthur Flour, 1 cup of all-purpose flour equals 4.25 ounces, or 120 grams.
(We tested this with a scale and it does indeed.)

But for a less common throw in like almond flour, 1 cup equals 3.38 ounces.
It also means there’s more flour in the cup than needed.
A densely packed cup of flour can weigh 160 grams.

How Many Cups Of Flour Are In A 5-Pound Bag?
A 5-pound bag ofall-purpose flourhas 18 cups.
For other types of flour, the total may be different.

What Other Factors Make A Difference?
Another consideration is sifted vs. unsifted flour.
Even if you use it every day, don’t store it in its original packaging.

Store it in an airtight container in a cool, dark pantry if you use it frequently.
If you’re not an avid baker, keep your flour in the fridge.
Flour older than a year should be tossed.

it’s possible for you to also store flour in the freezer.
Just let it come to room temperature before using.
