They have good branch structure with pliable yet strong branches that can support the weight of heavy ornaments.

With proper care, they also have excellent needle retention.

They grow at 3,000-feet and above, Greene says.

These trees grow on the sides of mountains, generally not in low-lying areas around creeks and streams.

As such, Greene does not expect a serious impact on the supply of North Carolina Frazer firs.

Infrastructure Challenges Post-Storm

Instead, in the days since Helene, the biggest challenge has been infrastructure.

Working with the Department of Transportation to restore that access ASAP has been our big focus.

Greene advises calling ahead to ensure you dont need to make changes to your route due to road damage.
