Place chicken in a large zip-top plastic bag.

Add pickle brine; seal bag and turn to coat.

Marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Dry and season chicken:

Remove chicken from brine; pat dry with paper towels.

Brush chicken with oil; sprinkle evenly with salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
