pkg.yellow cake mix(such as Duncan Hines)
1cupwhole milk
1/2cupcanola oil
3largeeggs
1(8-oz.)
)unsalted butter, softened

Coat a 9- x 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray; set aside.
Add batter to pan:
Spread batter evenly into prepared baking pan.
Using a fork, immediately poke holes all over Cake.

Let Cake cool in pan 10 minutes.
Boil, stirring occasionally, until sugar is fully dissolved, about 2 minutes.
Let Cake cool completely in pan, about 30 minutes.

Slice and serve immediately, or store, covered, in refrigerator up to 3 days.
The cream cheese frosting is made with cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
