Can I Make Buttermilk Waffles Ahead?

Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl.

Combine buttermilk and eggs:

Make waffle batter:

Fold buttermilk mixture into flour mixture until mostly, but not all combined.

Add melted butter:

Fold melted butter into flour mixture, fully incorporating all ingredients.

Cook waffles:

Preheat a waffle iron to medium.

Spray lightly with cooking spray, as needed.

Scoop about 1/2 cup batter into waffle iron.

Close iron, and cook until golden and crisp, about 3 minutes.

Transfer to a baking sheet, and place in oven to keep warm.

Repeat with remaining batter.
