For Scott, this project is the answer to a lifelong prayer.
Ive been the biggest Dolly Parton fan since I was a little girl.

I listened to her music obviously all the time but I watched her movie9 to 5when it came out.
I was probably seven years old.
And I watched it until I wore out the VHS.

I love to tell that story because I was so inspired by Dolly.
Everything that she embodied.
Her grit, her determination, her, this is who I am, take it or leave it.

And I just love that strength.
I said before I die, Ive got to meet my idol.
In 2022, Scott got her wish when she metPartonbackstage at a show in Austin.

Parton quipped, Well, I had.
And a lot of people just loved her line of jewelry.
And I dont know.
I just related to her.
I just loved her right away.
We just thought, well, you know what?
I said well I think that would be great, Parton added.
I found out that Love is Like a Butterfly was written in 1974.
So I thought, what a way to kick off this partnership together.
Both women agreed that this was a no-brainer and Scott added, Thats what we call a Godwink.
Parton replied with a hearty laugh, Or a Godsmack!
Most feature hearts or, of course, the butterfly.
So it just felt so perfect to start there, Scott said.
The collection has pieces that range in size from a large statement piece, to delicate tiny butterfly earrings.
Whichever suits you, Scotts intention was to give everyone a chance to have their Inner Dolly.
This concept tickled Parton.
She laughed and asked what is an Inner Dolly?
As they say, everything old is new again.
Parton was also very complimentary of Scotts interpretation of her tune.
I loved the idea and this is so beautiful too.
She has such great taste.
I did not get involved with her design.
And this is just the first of many collections that will pay homage to Partons greatest hits.
The pair didnt divulge which song would be next but said they have a lot of ideas right now.
And to that Parton added with another laugh, wait til we get to Jolene.
We gotta get that trashy stuff and were gonna run her out of business.
