Let me put it bluntly: It did not disappoint.
The new bar cake is described as Maple Butter Pecan Bar Cake.

It honestly doesn’t get any better.
But reader, it did get better.
So let’s break down the layers: First up, the cake layers are a classic vanilla sponge.
They’re sweet but really meant to support the other layers.
The top frosting is a creamy brown butter buttercream-like mousse.
It’s nearly unbelievably light and fluffy.
The middle filling layer is a maple mousse.
We’ve saved the best filling for lasta pecan crunch layer.
This was the biggest surprise of all.
She continues, “The maple mousse filling is the best part though.
It’s light, nicely spiced, and not too sweet.
The pecan layer adds a nice crunch.
Eaten all together, I think it all balances out.
