Cut each slice into 4 squares.
Pour egg mixture over shingled bread in baking dish.

Sprinkle with bacon, and cover with aluminum foil.
Bake casserole:
Bake until cheese is melted and egg mixture is puffed, about 30 minutes.
Remove foil; bake until lightly browned and filling is set, 10 to 15 minutes more.
