Creamy broccoli salad is the perfect addition to any picnic or potluck spread.
Chilling the salad for a couple of hours allows all of the flavors of the salad to meld together.

Both have a just-right combination of sweet and tart.
But if you have leftovers after the meal, store them in an airtight container up to three days.
Add sunflower seeds and bacon just before eating the leftovers so you get the crunchy texture.

Planning a potluck or picnic?
Line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Lay bacon strips on prepared baking sheet.

Bake 20-25 minutes or until crispy.
Crumble bacon:
Remove cooked bacon from baking sheet and drain on paper towels.
Crumble and refrigerate until ready to use.

Just before serving, sprinkle with sunflower kernels and cooked bacon.
We do recommend cutting the broccoli into small florets to make it easy to eat, though.
When stored properly, broccoli salad can last for 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
