Tortillas are filled, tightly rolled, and fried, resulting in crisp, flute-shaped rolls.

If there are any leftovers, wrap and refrigerate.

Reheat flautas in a hot oven, air fryer, or back on the stovetop until hot throughout.

Store leftover crema in an airtight container for up to two days.

Remove from heat, and stir in cilantro.

Roll tortilla over filling, leaving about 1 inch of tortilla exposed.

Brush exposed edge with a small amount of beaten egg; press gently to seal roll.

Drain on paper towels.

Serve flautas with crema.
