The host for these performances will be Belmont University in the Fisher Center for Performing Arts.

Nashville has certainly been home to me for over 60 years.

And trying to get started in the music business.

Especially for Dollys story but to expand it and bring it out into the world.

So I think in particular Nashville, but also this Belmont community.

Parton divulged that she has also written several new songs just for the show.

Rather than to wait until Im gone and let somebody else decide how they think it should be done.

So I thought this is something I needed to do and certainly wanted to do.

The theater at Belmont was not chosen by chance or availability.

In fact some classes have already begun during the earlier stages of developing the musical.

Theyre such great kids.

They all got their books from the Imagination Library when they were younger.

Theyre all such amazing kids.

And really helpful and really smart.

Like Minnie Pearl, Im so just so proud to be here.

Because I am so proud that were gonna get to do this here in Nashville, Parton said.
