You never know when youll score big time or when youll simply come across a small trinket or two.

Its important to not let a bad day at one of your favorite spots deter you from ever returning.
Think beyond the obvious and youll be surprised at what you start to notice as you shop.
I often rely on Google reviews to get a sense of a stores prices and scale of inventory.

But any thrifter is wise to pack a canvas or reusable tote no matter where they live.
Youll also want to arrive at a flea market equipped with some cash.
I like to wear a belt bag as I shop to keep these small essentials handy and safe.

Before you head out, measure areas you’d love to find decor for.
Does the wall over your sofa need a painting?
Maybe you need an entryway table or a new (old) rug.

Just pull the measuring tape out of your supply bag to see if it fits.
Look for framed art.
Just double-check the frame and glass are in good condition.
you’re free to use the frame as is or paint it.
Clean the glass, and add a new backing if needed.
You may also see interesting artwork or mirrors for a good price.
Lighting
You may find a beautiful lamp that just needs some TLC and a new shade.
Check the wiring and plug to ensure it’s intact and not frayed or damaged.
