See the Old Luckenbach School
Not far from town sits the old schoolhouse.
The community built the 16 x 15 log structure that opened in 1855.

The school was consolidated with the Fredericksburg Independent School District in 1964.
The school is now a community center, and tours and open houses are offered.

Wine in Fredericksburg dates back to the original town settlers who produced their wines with native grapes.
The facility has two locations in townthe winery on Highway 290 and a tasting room downtown.
About 30 minutes from Fredericksburg, and around 20 from Luckenbach, is The Garrison Brothers Distillery in Hye.
Walk the nature trail, or grab a seat on the viewing platform for spectacular views.
